Alt-Pop Band No Lore Releases New Single “For All I Know Is Love” to Support Stray Dog Welfare

Alt-pop all-girl band No Lore has just released their latest single, “For All I Know Is Love,” a heartfelt indie synth-pop track advocating for the welfare of stray dogs in the Philippines. Drawing inspiration from the stories of aspins (Asong Pinoy), the song serves as a powerful reminder of the need for compassion and empathy for these often-overlooked animals. This moving track is a collaboration with Pawssion Project, an NGO dedicated to rescuing abandoned animals, and has been designated as the official anthem to raise awareness about the plight of strays.

Backed by Off The Record and Sony Music Entertainment Philippines, No Lore—under the leadership of Ricky Ilacad—was given full creative support to bring this advocacy-driven project to life. The band’s signature fusion of art, poetry, and music shines through, demonstrating their unique ability to seamlessly integrate visual art into their sound. Each band member—vocalist and guitarist Tita Halaman, bassist Kim Escalona, and drummer Carole Lantican—contributes distinct artistic perspectives, resulting in performances that truly reflect their tagline: “Music from paintings with poetry.”

Malou Perez, founder of Pawssion Project, voiced her enthusiastic support for the single, expressing her belief that “For All I Know Is Love” will inspire more people to show compassion for strays and support their cause.

Initially performed at Pawssion Project’s Pawchella event in 2022, the song has since evolved into a resonant anthem of love and resilience, told from the perspective of stray dogs. “Aspins have always had a special place in my heart,” shared Tita Halaman. “This song was written from their perspective—those who, despite being hurt and abandoned, still seek nothing but love.”

Adding a visual element to the release, No Lore’s Tita Halaman created the original cover art for the single, which will be auctioned to benefit Pawssion Project’s animal shelter. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to helping provide essential resources for rescued animals, reinforcing the band’s dedication to social responsibility and advocacy through their art.

As part of the release, the band also launched a special initiative called #SplatsForACause, allowing fans to engage with the artwork in an interactive way. Halaman’s painting will be displayed at selected Pawssion Project events, where supporters can contribute their own “splats” of paint to the canvas. Each splat, symbolizing a donation, will go toward funding Pawssion Project’s ongoing efforts. Through this initiative, No Lore continues to blend creativity with charity, encouraging their audience to take part in meaningful action while contributing to a vital cause.

With “For All I Know Is Love,” No Lore not only showcases their artistic depth but also amplifies their commitment to using music and art as platforms for advocacy, making a lasting impact on both the music scene and the welfare of stray animals.
