Star Music’s newest artist Angela Ken, who made the viral TikTok song “Ako Naman Muna” captured the hearts of listeners with the success of her debut single topping both Spotify’s “Viral Global” and “Viral Philippines” playlists.
The song also reached Spotify Viral charts in Canada, Singapore, and UAE.
The official lyric video visualizer racked up one million Facebook views; 500,000 YouTube views; 200,000 Spotify streams.
In addition, multiple Spotify playlists, “Hot Hits Philippines,” “Trending Tracks” and “OPM Rising” featured Ako Naman Muna.
Apple Music also listed the song in its “Absolute OPM” collection.
Moreover, the song’s official lyric video visualizer has already reached 2.5 million YoutTube views and more than 3 million Spotify streams.
Spotify’s one of the biggest local editorial playlists “Tatak Pinoy” featured Angela on its cover and the song was likewise on playlist, “Pinoy Indie Mix.”
“All of these achievements are unexpected for me and my family. That’s why I’m very blessed with everything that’s happening now and with what I’ll still achieve in the future,” Angela said.
Angela wishes Ako Naman Muna to bring hope and inspiration to people as it was her purpose of writing it.
Meanwhile, Star Music’s YouTube channel released the song’s official music video last Sunday (April 4).
Prior to her unprecedented success with the track, the young singer-songwriter initially gained prominence by posting its unfinished version on TikTok on November 2020.
The viral TikTok upload led to ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo’s discovery of her.
Last March, Angela officially signed a recording deal with Star Music and a management contract with Star Magic.
The song is also part of the ABS-CBN inspirational series “Huwag Kang Mangamba” as official soundtrack.
