With the official start of summer just a few days away, it’s the perfect time to plan your vacation and make the most of the season. To date, over 700,000 guests have already booked their flights for travel between March and May, both for domestic and international destinations. AirAsia expects this number to increase significantly as summer approaches. The airline is committed to providing the best deals and ensuring safe, convenient, and hassle-free travel for all passengers, especially first-time travelers.

Before you “LFG – Let’s Fly and Go!” this summer, here are some tips from AirAsia for the best travel experience:

1. Prepare Essential Travel Documents

Make sure to secure all necessary travel documents such as passports, visas, hotel reservations, and other supporting documents if you’re traveling abroad. Additionally, don’t forget to complete the e-travel form at least 72 hours before your scheduled departure and arrival in the Philippines. You can also settle the Philippine Travel Tax online at tieza.gov.ph. For domestic travel, AirAsia check-in counters require at least one valid government ID for proper identification.

2. Avoid Traffic and Arrive Early

We highly encourage guests to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to their scheduled departure for domestic flights (NAIA Terminal 2) and 4 hours for international flights (NAIA Terminal 3). Keep in mind that more people will be flying during the summer season, so expect longer queues at the airport and plan accordingly.

3. Take Advantage of Online Check-in Platforms

Save time and avoid long queues by checking in online through platforms like AirAsia MOVE (formerly airasia Superapp) or airasia.com. This allows you to purchase add-ons such as Santan inflight meals, baggage allowances, and hot seats at a discounted price of 10-20%. AirAsia self-check-in kiosks are also available at NAIA Terminals 2.

4. Book Your Flights Early

Booking your flights in advance not only gives you more time to plan your trip but also helps you save money. Flights booked earlier are generally cheaper than those booked closer to the travel date.

Take advantage of sales and promos, such as the ongoing 3.3 SALE, which offers a PHP 33 one-way base fare for flights booked until 3 March. This promo is valid for travel until 16 October 2024 to domestic destinations like Caticlan, Puerto Princesa, Bohol, and international destinations such as Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, and Tokyo.

Remember, summer is a time to relax, explore, and create wonderful memories. By following these tips from AirAsia, you can make the most of your summer vacation without any travel hassles.
