AirAsia Philippines is expanding its reach in Japan by introducing Nagoya as its third destination. As one of Japan’s largest cities, Nagoya boasts a population of over two million, including approximately 57,000 Filipinos.

To mark this exciting milestone, the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline is offering a special PHP 888 one-way base fare to Nagoya for bookings made through the AirAsia MOVE app and airasia.com until August 11, 2024. This promotion is valid for travel from the inaugural flight on October 29, 2024, through March 29, 2025.

“Japan is a key market for AirAsia Philippines. We’ve already flown 210,000 guests in the first half of 2024 and are confident we’ll exceed the 270,000 guests flown in 2023,” says AirAsia Philippines CEO Ricky Isla. “With our competitive airfares, additional services, better flight timings, and world-class service, we’re set to achieve even greater numbers.”

According to a recent Statista study, 48.8% of Filipinos consider Japan a top holiday destination. AirAsia’s data indicates that 65% of travelers to Japan in the past six months were Filipinos aged 30-50, with many booking their flights for immediate travel within two months.

Located in the “Heart of Japan,” Nagoya offers rich cultural experiences and vibrant industries. Notable attractions include Nagoya Castle, the Shirakawago National Heritage Site, the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, and the famous Osu Shopping Street. Nagoya also serves as a gateway to other destinations in Japan, such as the Chubu Region, which provides stunning views of Mt. Fuji.

AirAsia Philippines is set to begin flights to Nagoya on October 29, just in time for autumn. This season promises a memorable sightseeing experience with a mix of sunny and cooler weather, ideal for exploring the city and its surroundings.
