If you are craving for a Korean food that is authentic and affordable, then dine in at Leann’s Tea House. This newly opened Korean restaurant is run by a family of food connoisseurs and managed by Jiselle Chua.
The idea of putting up a Korean restaurant begun when Jaclyn Chua married Youngae Park, a Korean national. From then on the Chua family frequented Korea and tasted the amazing flavors of Korean cuisine. They were amazed as the food served were not only delicious but also healthy. In the process of conceptualizing the opening of a teahouse in the Philippines, Jaclyn Park got pregnant and gave birth to Leann Park. As Leann Park is the first baby born for both the Chua and Park family, it was decided to name the restaurant “Leann’s Tea House”.
Leann’s Tea House offers a variety of food ranging from grilled meat, Kimbaps (rice rolls), ramen to jjigae (soup).
Unlimited house tea (corn tea) is also served while dining. The restaurant has a variety of frozen tea drinks like Black, Red Ginseng, Green Tea and Omija. Dessert teas are also available. Dessert teas to choose from are Honey Jujube Tea, Honey Citron Tea and Honey Ginger Tea.
I love all of the food served to us but my favourites are the Tonkatsu Kimbap (which happens to be their best seller) and the Sweet Dak Gui. I must also say that Kimchi Bokkeumbap belongs to my list of favourites. But what I enjoyed most a Leann’s are the teas that we tried. It was my first time to taste the corn house tea and the dessert teas. All these teas are superb, most specially the Citron tea.
Leann’s Tea House is situated at 105-R Mother Ignacia Street, Quezon City. For reservations and info, their telephone no. is 411-8902 and their email add is: leannsteahouse@gmail.com.
