The curtains fell on the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 this past Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena in the Philippines. The event witnessed the coronation of new champions in the world of DOTA 2 and VALORANT esports, accompanied by thrilling performances from some of the most gifted artists in the Philippines. This year’s installment of the Asia Pacific Predator League proved to be a resounding success, with packed arenas and a global audience engaged through the Predator social media channels throughout the two-day extravaganza. Out of the 26 competing teams vying for top honors in Dota 2 and VALORANT, Blacklist Rivalry and Team Secret emerged triumphant, proudly hoisting the coveted Predator Shield in their respective categories.

Dota 2 Highlights
Blacklist Rivalry emerged victorious over their fellow Filipino counterparts, Execration, in the grand finals of Dota 2. Abed “Abed” Yusop showcased an incredible performance, maintaining an average of 8.5 kills and 14 assists throughout the series, leading the offensive charge for his team. Their strategic success in containing Execration’s star player, Mark “Bob” Urbino, led to a heartbreaking defeat for Execration, marking their second consecutive second-place finish in the Predator League grand finals.
As the crowned DOTA 2 champions of this year, Blacklist Rivalry will be taking home a substantial cash prize of USD$65,000, while Execration will be awarded $20,000. China’s Team Aster and Mongolia’s IHC Esports, securing third and fourth place, respectively, will also be recognized for their impressive performances with USD$7,500 each.
VALORANT Highlights
Team Secret entered the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 as the anticipated favorites and went above and beyond all expectations. Their dominance was evident in the final against the Japanese team FAV Gaming, where Adrian “invy” Reyes continued to shine brightly for the team. Familiarly known as “The Adobo Gang” among their fans, Team Secret secured their first LAN trophy and Predator Shield since the establishment of their VALORANT team.
With their victory, Team Secret takes home the USD$65,000 prize pool, while FAV Gaming earns USD$20,000 for their commendable performance. The third and fourth-place finishers, BOOM Esports from Indonesia and Team Flash from Vietnam, will also be recognized with USD$7,500 each for their achievements.
Intel MVP Award
Recognition was bestowed upon outstanding players who distinguished themselves in the highly competitive field of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024. In Dota 2, the honor was granted to the carry player Polo “Raven” Fausto, while in VALORANT, it was bestowed upon the duelist player Jeremy “Jremy” Cabrera. In addition to the prestige, both players earned extra USD$10,000 prizes and were presented with the Intel MVP Award Trophy in acknowledgment of their exceptional individual performances.
Beyond the intense esports battles, the audience was treated to top-tier entertainment featuring some of the brightest stars in the Philippines, including Acer ambassadors SB19 and Sarah Geronimo. The event also featured meet-and-greet sessions with Predator ambassadors Cong TV and the Team Payaman boys, including burg, KuyaNic, Chibiby, Maggiekarp, amaratv, Een Mercado, Kang Dupet, and cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao.
The opening acts for Day 1 were Felip and Ylona Garcia, captivating the crowd with their exhilarating performances. Subsequent performances included sets from Urbandub and Al James, along with a special appearance by TV personality Donny Pangilinan. Day 2 continued the impressive lineup with captivating performances from Josh Cullen, Sandwich, Spongecola, Pablo, and KZ Tandingan, who delivered a stirring rendition of the Predator anthem, “It Lies Within.”
Asia Pacific Predator League 2025 Host Announced
The next Asia Pacific Predator League will be held in Malaysia, with the qualifiers starting in late 2024 and the grand finals to be held in early 2025.
