As 2024 unfolds, ABS-CBN introduces a fresh wave of Gen Z stars in “Zoomers,” set to air on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, TFC, and TV5 starting Monday (Jan.15).
In “Zoomers,” ABS-CBN Star Magic and TV production head, Laurenti Dyogi, renowned for his role as a star maker and former juror on “Star Circle Quest,” teams up with blockbuster film director Theodore Boborol and “He’s Into Her” director Chad Vidanes to assess and challenge aspiring teen stars competing for roles in ABS-CBN’s newest youth-oriented series.
Direk Lauren emphasizes the importance of authenticity in the audition, stating, “Ang importante sa atin is makuha yung authentic. Sana yung persona at essence nung karakter at nung tao magmatch.”
Taking on the challenge for the lead roles of “Zoomer’s” are teen stars Harvey Bautista, Criza Taa, Analain Salvador, Ashton Salvador, and Luke Alford, each vying for the characters Jiggs, Hope, Kokoy, Atom, and Tania, respectively.
Joining them in their pursuit of stardom are Star Magic artists Ralph De Leon, Krystl Ball, Erika Davis, Luis Vera Perez, Kei Kurosawa, Hadiyah Santos, Redd Arcega, Noelle Martinex, Reich Alim, along with ex-Dream Chaser Jay-R Albino, Matthew Cruz, and Omar Udin.
In the upcoming five episodes, viewers will witness the selection process and discover who among these talented individuals will have the chance to lead ABS-CBN’s newest youth-oriented series, addressing the issues faced by Gen Z. The series is scheduled to air on the same slot starting January 22.
