ABS-CBN, the Philippines’ foremost content provider, clinched ten awards, including the prestigious Digital Media Network of the Year accolade, at the 2024 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards presented by Trinity University of Asia on February 15th.
In addition to this esteemed recognition, numerous Kapamilya artists, programs, and films received acclaim from the students and educators of the Trinitian community.
Elijah Canlas and Miggy Jimenez, stars of “Senior High,” secured the titles of Best Primetime Drama Actor and Best Primetime Supporting Actor, respectively. Jennica Garcia was honored as the Best Primetime Supporting Actress for her role in the popular Kapamilya series “Dirty Linen.”
Furthermore, three ABS-CBN shows were lauded during the event: “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” for Socially Relevant TV Series, “It’s Showtime” for Best Variety Show, and “Magandang Buhay” for Celebrity Talk Show of the Year.
In their acceptance speeches, the awardees expressed gratitude to the late Dreamscape head Deo Endrinal.
Jennica shared a heartfelt message, recalling her initial doubts and expressing thanks to Deo Endrinal for his guidance. Cherry Pie Picache, accepting the award for “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” dedicated the honor to their departed boss, Mr. Deo Endrinal.
“Rewind,” produced by Star Cinema and the highest-grossing Filipino film to date, was recognized as the Best Drama Movie of the Year, with lead actress Marian Rivera receiving the Best Film Actress award.
Additionally, Jan Erik Miras from Star Magic received the Trinitian Media Practitioner for Entertainment Media award.
The Platinum Stallion National Media Awards commends individuals and organizations for their ongoing efforts in educating the public through media and allied arts. The winners are selected by the university’s students, alumni, faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
