July 15, 2017. Boutique Burger Kitchen (BBK) was the venue for Called to Rescue’s blogger immersion this Saturday. The retro-style diner can be found at The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City and is owned by Chef Carlo Miguel and his wife, Ria.
BBK is open from 11am until 12am, Sundays to Thursdays and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. The home of the better burger serves more than just that. Some popular items on the menu are chicken nuggets, fried pickles, and their milkshakes, which can be transformed from wholesome to wicked with the addition of liquor. They also serve rice meals, a Filipino staple.
Everything on the menu is made from scratch, including the ketchup and their selection of full-fat ice cream, which is displayed at the bar.
Chef Carlo strives to deliver dishes that are uncomplicated and uncompromising. Co-owner Ria tells us more about the philosophy behind their offerings:
Even their daughter approves of the “happy place” her parents have created. The surroundings are bright and airy, and there are pops of color everywhere!
You can bring your family in for brunch, then come back at night for dinner and drinks with your friends. Any time of day, it’s a laid-back hangout with outdoor seating.
And let’s not forget about the main attraction, the gourmet burgers. They’re not greasy at all! Bite into the delicious burger (its patty a blend of U.S. Angus and Wagyu beef) and it’s dripping with juices. What a delight!
