After last year’s sold-out success, OPM icon Rey Valera is back for another unforgettable night at CenterPlay, City of Dreams Manila. The much-anticipated performance is set for September 26 at 9:30 p.m., offering fans a rare chance to see the legendary singer-songwriter perform live once again.
Known as one of the cornerstones of Original Pilipino Music (OPM), Rey Valera has left an indelible mark on the industry with his timeless hits from the 70s and 80s. Fans can expect to hear his classics like “Walang Kapalit,” “Kung Kailangan Mo Ako,” “Maging Sino Ka Man,” “Malayo Pa Ang Umaga,” “Sa Sandaling Kailangan Mo Ako,” “Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo,” and “Kumusta Ka.” Valera will also perform beloved tracks he penned for other iconic OPM artists, such as Rico Puno’s “Sorry Na, Puede Ba,” Pol Enriquez’s “Ayoko Na Sa’Yo,” and Sharon Cuneta’s “Mr. DJ” and “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko.”
With a career spanning decades, Valera, affectionately known as “Mr. Hitmaker,” has been honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 18th Awit Awards Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino by the Philippine Association of Recording Industries.
This concert marks the second edition of “Rey Valera Live at CenterPlay,” following the venue’s series of sold-out performances. The CenterPlay stage, located on the main gaming floor, has hosted some of OPM’s biggest names, including Ariel Rivera, Noel Cabangon, Yeng Constantino, and Nina, to name a few. The evening’s entertainment will also feature alternating DJ sets and performances by bands such as Swerve Band and Part 3, running from 7:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
Designed as the ultimate entertainment hub, CenterPlay is more than just a performance venue—it’s a vibrant lounge offering light meals, signature cocktails, beers, wines, and other beverages.
Tickets for this exclusive night are available for reservation, with table options ranging from P3,000 for consumables, to VIP couch seating for eight at P24,000, and VIP tables for four at P12,000. Each package includes bar snacks, burgers, fries, and a selection of beverages.
