Canon Marketing (Philippines) Inc. has officially launched its latest top-tier full-frame mirrorless cameras, the EOS R5 Mark II and EOS R1, at an event held at Raffles Makati.
The EOS R5 Mark II stands out with its high-performance features, building on the success of its predecessor, the EOS R5, while offering enhanced image quality and shooting efficiency.

The EOS R5 Mark II boasts a 45-megapixel sensor, 8K 60P RAW recording, and an advanced Dual Pixel Intelligent AF system. Leveraging the Accelerated Capture image processing system, it delivers superior autofocus and subject detection, outperforming even the EOS R3. The inclusion of 10-bit Canon Log 2 ensures vivid color reproduction and seamless integration with Canon’s Cinema EOS workflow.
“The EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II are designed for professionals who need to capture dynamic, high-quality images and video. These models improve on the R3 and R5, making them faster, smarter, and more reliable for various industries, including sports, journalism, and high-end video production,” said Jian Liu, Director of Consumer Information and Imaging at Canon Marketing (Philippines), Inc.
At the event, notable Filipino photographers Edwin Martinez, Jay Tablante, and Jijo De Guzman, along with filmmakers Kara Moreno and Ian Celis, shared insights on using the EOS R1 and EOS R5 Mark II for diverse genres like landscape photography, commercial portraits, sports, cinematography, and weddings.
The EOS R5 Mark II is now available for pre-order at Php 249,998 for the body, bundled with a 512GB CF Express Type B card. A kit with the RF24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens is priced at Php 329,998, also bundled with a 512GB CF Express Type B card. Pre-orders can be made at Canon stores and authorized dealers nationwide.
