Despite this, the coconut industry is facing significant challenges. According to the Philippine Coconut Authority, 20% of the country’s coconut trees are aging and unproductive. In response, Coco Mama, the nation’s leading local gata brand, has launched the “Save Our Coconuts” project, aiming to address this issue and support the industry’s long-term sustainability.
