Recognizing the urgent need for modernization in Philippine public schools, global technology leader Xiaomi is making substantial advancements in enhancing local education through its Xiaomi Powered Room initiative.
Xiaomi Powered Rooms aim to revolutionize learning environments by donating cutting-edge smart technology and appliances to underserved public schools in the Philippines. This initiative helps bridge the digital divide and create more accessible and convenient learning spaces for students.
The donated technology includes Xiaomi Smart TVs, Xiaomi Mini Projectors, Xiaomi Smart Cameras, Redmi Soundbars, and Xiaomi Standing Fans, transforming at least one classroom in each participating school into a high-tech Xiaomi Powered Room.
In line with its latest efforts and this year’s Brigada Eskwela initiative, Xiaomi, in partnership with the non-profit organization World Vision, recently established a new Xiaomi Powered Room at a public elementary school in Laurel, Batangas. Along with the high-tech classroom, Xiaomi also provided essential school supplies for the students. This project is part of Xiaomi’s ongoing commitment to modernizing public schools in the Philippines, an effort that began in 2022.
“It has always been Xiaomi’s mission to make innovations accessible to everyone,” said Tomi Adrias, Marketing Head for Xiaomi Philippines. “In our country’s public schools, the need for transformative technology has never been greater. We believe that the introduction of Xiaomi Powered Rooms can significantly enhance the learning experience for our students and provide them with the opportunities they need to succeed.”
Xiaomi’s dedication to education is reflected in its enduring partnership with World Vision and active participation in Brigada Eskwela. By investing in and democratizing technology while supporting community-driven initiatives, Xiaomi is equipping students with essential tools for success. This commitment not only benefits individual learners but also positively impacts communities and contributes to a brighter future for Filipino youth.
