Bayad Cybersecurity Lead Honored as 2024 Cybersecurity Practitioner of the Year

Rolly “RB” N. Bañez, Deputy Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Cyber Security Governance at Bayad, has been honored with the Cybersecurity Practitioner of the Year Award at the 2024 World Financial Innovation Series. The prestigious event, organized by Tradepass, took place on August 13-14, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel and brought together over 600 technology and business experts from top banks, insurance companies, and micro-finance institutions across the country.

This award recognizes Bañez’s exceptional leadership in developing a robust and advanced cybersecurity framework at Bayad (formerly Bayad Center) and promoting a strong culture of cybersecurity awareness within the fintech industry. Bayad, a leading brand in outsourced bills payment collection in the Philippines, integrates numerous billers into a comprehensive system now utilized by major establishments and electronic money institutions nationwide.
