Klook, Asia’s leading platform for travel experiences and services, is pushing the boundaries of social commerce with new initiatives designed to empower travelers. As part of its commitment to leveraging social media through its rapidly expanding Kreator influencer program in the Philippines and across Asia, Klook is introducing seamless booking capabilities, including a new feature on TikTok.
Recognizing social media as a key driver for discovery and booking, especially among the younger generation of travelers, Klook is capitalizing on this trend. The company’s latest collaboration with TikTok allows users in seven Southeast Asian markets and Japan to explore and book travel attractions directly within the app, streamlining the journey from inspiration to booking.
“Social media has become the primary channel for travelers looking for destination ideas and activities. With this new integration, Klook bridges the gap between discovery and booking, reinforcing our social-first strategy and catering to the evolving needs of the next generation of travelers,” says Marcus Yong, Vice President of Global Marketing at Klook.
These advancements in social commerce present new opportunities for Klook’s extensive network of Filipino merchant partners to engage with the next generation of travelers. TikTok users in the Philippines can now access popular attractions such as Enchanted Kingdom, Manila Ocean Park, SuperPark Quezon City, Space & Time, and Art in Island with ease.
Klook is seeing impressive growth in markets like the Philippines, Taiwan, Australia, and the US. To capitalize on this momentum, Klook is expanding its Kreator program to include platforms like YouTube, aiming to offer a broader range of formats that meet the demand for genuine user-generated content (UGC). Since its launch in 2023, the Klook Kreator program has grown to include over 20,000 Kreators across 16 markets worldwide, with the goal of becoming the largest social travel community dedicated to creating and sharing authentic UGC.
As a leader in this evolving travel landscape, Klook is set to host Asia Pacific’s largest gathering of travel content creators in September 2024. With over 130 Kreators from around the globe, this event will highlight Klook’s commitment and ambition to shape the future of travel commerce.
