MPL Philippines Season 14 Week 1 concluded with some surprising outcomes, leaving fans buzzing. Newcomers Aurora (RORA) stormed to the top of the leaderboard with a commanding win in their season debut, while last season’s underdogs, Smart Omega (OMG) and Fnatic ONIC (FNOP), also put on impressive performances. In contrast, powerhouse team Blacklist International suffered a tough start, ending the week with a 0-2 record, alongside M5 World Champions Falcons APBren and RSG Philippines.
Despite high hopes for TNC Pro Team (TNC) to make a significant comeback, they once again find themselves at the bottom of the standings. Commenting on their performance, Wolf stated, “It’s really different in the MPL. We were confident; we had strong preparations and powerful players as a team. But when we look back at game one, a single mistake happened and it just snowballed from there. That’s how we see it.”
