Epson Enhances Education with Innovative Digital and Print Solutions

The transition to digital learning has surged in recent years, driven by the pandemic’s impact. However, traditional print materials continue to play a vital role in student memory retention and information processing.

Epson is committed to providing a balanced learning experience that integrates both traditional and digital methods through its advanced interactive projectors and high-quality printers. As part of its social responsibility, Epson has partnered with the Department of Education (DepEd) in the Adopt-a-School Project, ensuring educational continuity despite resource challenges. Epson’s dedication to sustainability aligns with its “Engineered For Good” philosophy, promoting eco-friendly practices within its ecosystem.

“Epson merges traditional and digital learning in modern Philippine classrooms, preparing them for the future of education and sustainability,” said Masako Kusama, President and Director of Epson Philippines. “We believe quality education is a right, not a privilege. Our collaboration with DepEd and local schools aims to unlock students’ creativity and potential.”

Transforming Learning Spaces

With an average classroom size of 50 students in the Philippines, it’s crucial to have large, clear displays. Epson’s EB Series projectors offer high-definition visuals and can project images up to 120 inches, even from less than two feet away with ultra-short throw models like the EB-1485Fi.

These projectors connect wirelessly to multiple devices, allowing seamless sharing and presentation of content. Portable models like the EB-E01 and EB-X51 enable teachers to bring this technology to various locations. Interactive features, including dual pens and touch capabilities (EB-725Wi, EB-695Wi), enhance tactile learning and engagement, with options to print, save, and email screen content.

Epson projectors are compact yet powerful, designed to last up to 20,000 hours with minimal maintenance—equivalent to nearly 10 years of daily use.

The Importance of Print in Education

Despite the digital shift, research shows printed materials are superior for memory retention and reading comprehension. Epson’s Business Inkjet printers (WF-C879R, AM-C400, AM-C550, AM-C4000/C5000/C6000, WF-C21000) cater to high-volume printing needs with wireless and mobile device connectivity. Capable of producing up to 50 pages per minute, these printers are ideal for schools with large student bodies.

The vibrant color output from Epson’s printers enhances interactive materials, especially beneficial for younger students. Epson’s heat-free technology also reduces power consumption by up to 85%, demonstrating its commitment to environmental responsibility.

Epson’s innovative approach to education integrates digital and print solutions, addressing the evolving needs of students and fostering a dynamic, engaging learning environment for future generations.
