Jose Mari Chan, the Philippines’ Mr. Music Man, serenades the adoring crowd at One Ayala during Metrobank ‘s Holideals event. He also performed his newest Christmas song “A Child Again at Christmas” for the first time.
Among his classic hits such as “Perfect Christmas” and “Beautiful Girl, he performed “Please be Careful with my Heart” and the all-time Christmas classic, “Christmas in our Hearts” encouraging the audience to duet with him. Jokingly retorting that he doesn’t know why he was “chosen to sing” at the start of the Christmas season, he gleefully invites everyone to sing along with him.
By the last chorus, he turns emotional and sheds a tear while singing. He bowed down twice before ending the performance much to the applause of everyone in the audience.
Metrobank’s Holideals is a new banking campaign that encourages Filipinos to start up saving way ahead of the holiday season, which usually starts every September. The earlier “resurgence” of the King of Philippine Christmas Carols this year is a sure delight to those who wait eagerly for the holidays to come around this year.
