Globe’s network and core services remain operational despite the relentless rains and floods caused by Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon.
On Wednesday, call, text, and data services in typhoon-affected areas continued to function, with only isolated interruptions due to power outages. Globe has prepositioned personnel for rapid response in case of network emergencies.
“We assure our customers that our network is prepared for any potential impact from the typhoon and the enhanced southwest monsoon on our infrastructure. Our facilities nationwide are designed for resilience, with generators and batteries ready to activate during power outages,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.
The ongoing rains in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon have led to persistent flooding and road closures. PAGASA forecasts moderate to intense rains over western Luzon until Thursday. In response, Malacañang has suspended government work and classes in Metro Manila, while private companies have enabled work-from-home arrangements.
The public is advised to stay informed with verified weather updates. Globe offers free data access to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) website.
