An Evening of Musical Delight with the PPO

As the country’s foremost institution dedicated to promoting artistic excellence, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) continues to expand its reach into neighboring regions, bringing the richness of the nation’s culture and arts closer to all Filipinos.

In collaboration with the Office of the Senate President, Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, the CCP will present the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra (PPO) and their captivating music to the Province of Bukidnon.

Under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera, the PPO will orchestrate an enchanting evening of music to inaugurate the Bukidnon Center for Culture and the Arts.

As part of the PPO’s outreach efforts, solo performances on the clarinet by Ariel Sta. Ana and on the bassoon by Fenvee Andra will be featured. Adding to the allure, guest artists Lara Manigue and Gian Magdangal will captivate the audience with their musical performances.

The nation’s premier orchestra will serenade the people of Bukidnon with a repertoire spanning light classical, standard, Broadway, and original Filipino music. The PPO is scheduled to perform two shows on April 12, at 3 pm and 7 pm, at the New Bukidnon Sports and Cultural Complex Museum.

Among CCP’s most popular outreach events are the concerts of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. Maestro Ranera and the PPO have graced various towns across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, embodying the values of truth, beauty, and goodness while promoting and preserving the best of Filipino arts and culture.

Established in 1973 to accompany performing artists at the CCP Theater, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra has evolved into the country’s premier orchestra, renowned for its exceptional performances.

The PPO has collaborated with esteemed conductors such as Mendi Rodan, Piero Gamba, Enrique Batis, Sebastian Bereau, and Nicholas Koch, and shared the stage with acclaimed foreign and Filipino artists including Van Cliburn, Renata Tebaldi, Judith Engel, Anthony Camden, David Benoit, Cecile Licad, Raul Sunico, and Lea Salonga.
