The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) joyfully announces the reception of a gracious donation of 10 million pesos in fond remembrance of the late Professor Elenita “Leni” Panganiban. This generous contribution from her family commemorates her legacy by endowing the naming rights of AIM’s Chapel and establishing a new case room in her honor – the Leni Panganiban Case Room.
“We express our profound gratitude for this heartfelt donation made in memory of Professor Leni Panganiban,” remarked Dr. Jikyeong Kang, President and Dean of the Asian Institute of Management. “Through their benevolent gesture, her legacy will endure and illuminate the halls of AIM.”
Professor Panganiban was widely esteemed at AIM for her unwavering commitment to teaching and her unwavering support for students. Over a span of more than three decades, she served as AIM’s pioneering female professor and associate dean. Her fervor for education and compassionate demeanor left an indelible mark on students, guiding them academically and personally. Alongside Fr. James Donelan, SJ, she dedicated herself to the enhancement of the Chapel, quietly contributing her time, attention, and resources to its development and upkeep.
Her family, including her husband, retired Chief Justice Artemio V. Panganiban, hopes that she will be remembered for her sagacity, strength of character, devotion to family, and profound faith.
Professor Leni Panganiban passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023, yet her legacy continues to inspire the AIM community. The Institute extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Panganiban family for their magnanimity and dedication to honoring the memory of Prof. Leni Panganiban.
