This decision aligns with the company’s global commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions across its entire value chain by 2050.

In the Philippines, Mondelēz International has been actively reducing carbon emissions from its manufacturing activities since 2018. Initiatives include installing a biomass boiler in its Parañaque City facility, which uses rice hulls as a renewable fuel source. Moreover, the company has transitioned to 100% renewable energy for its plant operations, achieving a significant reduction in carbon emissions.
On a global scale, Mondelēz International is committed to achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by 2050. The company has submitted a time-bound plan to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and aims to eliminate deforestation from its primary commodities by 2025.
