Google is lending its support to the #SeniorDigizen campaign initiated by the Globe Group, aiming to empower the elderly with essential tech knowledge for their daily lives.
In the campaign’s kickoff on January 25, Google is a key contributor to Globe’s “Senior Digizen: Teach Me How to Digi,” a free learning session focusing on vital mobile apps and online safety.
During the learning session, Odel Hernandez, Google Telco Sales Coach, will guide participating seniors through the process of creating a Gmail account, emphasizing its safety features. Email accounts play a crucial role in accessing various apps and digital tools.
Yoly Crisanto, Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer at Globe Group, expressed gratitude for Google’s collaboration in their mission to bring Filipino seniors into the digital age. She emphasized the significance of the partnership in helping seniors access the life-enabling benefits of technology while ensuring their online safety.
Mervin Wenke, Head of Communications and Public Affairs at Google, highlighted the alignment of this partnership with their mission to create a safer online space for everyone.
