Epson introduces two new members to its EcoTank series, namely the L3550 and L5590 model printers. These latest additions are geared towards users seeking a premium printing experience for their homes or offices, offering enhanced speed and durability.
Productivity Meets Durability
The updated EcoTank printers showcase improved print speeds compared to their predecessors, reaching 15/8 ipm for black/color printing. This boost in speed is attributed to the incorporation of the upgraded PrecisionCore Print Head.
Notably, the L3550 and L5590 models boast increased durability and an extended product life, backed by warranty coverage of up to 50,000 pages or 2 years—whichever comes first—outperforming previous EcoTank models.
Sustainability in Mind
Designed with sustainability at the forefront, these additions to the EcoTank series run on Epson Heat-Free technology, utilizing less power compared to laser technology due to the absence of heat in the printing process. The hardware of these printers is crafted from 30% recycled plastic, resulting in a 30% reduction in plastic usage.
Moreover, these printers consume 84% fewer consumables compared to ink cartridge printers, with packaging comprising over 80% recycled cardboard. These eco-friendly features significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with the printers, reflecting Epson’s commitment to sustainability.
Print With Ease
Epson’s new EcoTank models enhance user convenience by incorporating a replaceable maintenance box, minimizing downtime. Users can easily replace the maintenance box anytime, anywhere, without the need to bring the printer to a service center.
The Panel User Interface (UI) of the L3550 offers convenient printing options. Users can select the media size—standard, photo, or envelope—on the easily navigable Panel UI. Additionally, the L3550 supports robust connectivity features, including smart printing options such as Airprint, Mopria, and Epson Smart Panel. The Epson Smart Panel App provides direct access to functions such as remote On/Off, printing, scanning, and copying, along with real-time monitoring of the printer’s operation and ink level.
