Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde has earned a prestigious Best Lead Actor nomination for his role in “Cattleya Killer,” a collaborative series between ABS-CBN International Productions, Nathan Studios, and Prime Video. The Asian Content Awards (ACA) 2023, where the nominations were secured, is set to take place on October 8 in Busan, South Korea.
In “Cattleya Killer,” Arjo portrayed the character of agent Anton Dela Rosa, and he faces formidable competition from acclaimed actors hailing from China, Thailand, South Korea, and Japan.
The series not only achieved the distinction of becoming the most-watched series on Prime Video but also marked a significant milestone as the first Filipino-produced drama series to be showcased at the Marché International des Programmes de Communication (International Market of Communications Programs, MIPCOM) in Cannes.
The Asia Contents Awards, established in Busan, South Korea, is an annual event dedicated to honoring outstanding content created for television, online platforms, and OTT services across Asia. This year’s ACA is in collaboration with the International OTT Festival, co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Busan Metropolitan City. The event aims to expand its reach from Asia to the global stage, acknowledging the transformations in the ever-evolving content industry and promoting the creation of high-quality content, both domestically and internationally.
