With an extensive range of 17 multi-function devices, the new models will help businesses increase productivity while ensuring data security
Canon has unveiled its most recent additions to the comprehensive selection of A3 and A4 color and monochrome laser multi-function devices (MFDs). This includes the imageRUNNER ADVANCE (iR-ADV) DX C3900i series, iR-ADV DX 8900i series, iR-ADV DX 4900i series, iR-ADV DX C359i, iR-ADV DX 619i, imageRUNNER (iR) 2900i series, and iR C3326i. These new MFDs build upon Canon’s existing imageRUNNER ADVANCE and imageRUNNER offerings, making them well-suited for the diverse work environments of today. They offer businesses exceptional functionality, ranging from efficient workflows to advanced security measures.
Mr. Kenichiro Kitamura, Director of Office Imaging Products (OIP), expressed, “Canon remains committed to delivering innovative devices that cater to the ever-evolving work landscape. The latest lineup of imageRUNNER ADVANCE and imageRUNNER devices incorporate cutting-edge technologies that empower businesses to operate with increased efficiency, safety, and security. With Canon’s business solutions, we aim to simplify the intricacies of business operations while facilitating business agility and digital transformation.”
Safeguarding Business Data against External Threats
The iR-ADV and iR multi-function devices (MFDs) offer a suite of crucial preventive security features that have become increasingly vital in today’s digital work environments. Two of these key security features are the “Verify System at Startup” and “McAfee Embedded Control.” These features play a pivotal role in ensuring the system’s integrity and guarding against any unauthorized tampering or malware attacks, from the moment the device starts up until it operates.
In the event of an abnormality detected during startup, the device has the capability to automatically initiate a reboot for recovery, thereby minimizing any potential downtime. Additionally, it’s worth noting that iR-ADV MFDs also provide support for Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0. This feature serves to securely encrypt critical data stored on the MFDs, adding an extra layer of protection against malware and unauthorized access.
Boosting Workplace Productivity
Crafted with a focus on user-friendly design, these MFDs offer a unified user interface (UI) experience that remains consistent across both iR-ADV and iR devices. One standout feature is the Smart Timeline, which conveniently showcases the ten most recent settings used, enabling users to swiftly access and reuse these settings, thus reducing the time spent on repetitive tasks. Furthermore, these MFDs empower users with the option to tailor their preferences, including customizing the initial display screen, selecting their preferred display language, and pinning frequently used functions. This level of customization allows users to streamline repetitive tasks, leading to a significant boost in productivity.
Managing Prints Usage
As businesses increasingly migrate towards cloud-based solutions, the latest MFD lineup seamlessly integrates with Canon’s proprietary uniFLOW Online. This cloud-based print management solution is designed to assist businesses in effectively managing their print environments. uniFLOW Online offers centralized control by monitoring print, scan, and copy activities. Administrators gain access to valuable insights through the uniFLOW Online Dashboard, enabling them to pinpoint potential areas for cost reduction. Moreover, this solution plays a pivotal role in enhancing security by implementing device authentication to thwart unauthorized access.
