On February 5, 2015, Jollibee store owned by Fil-Am rap artist and record producer Apl.de.Ap was officially opened. He has embarked on this new project in order to bring langhap-sarap goodnes closer to fellow Kabalens. The store is situated along Dau, Mabalacat, Pampanga.
The Black Eyed Peas member, together with Jollibee Philippines President Joseph Tanbuntiong and Jollibee Regional Business Unit Head for North Luzon, Kay So, led the ribbon cutting and store blessing ceremonies.
Apl was very excited to open his very own Jollibee store in his home province. He always wanted to have a Jollibee franchise because it is the product he grew up with. He has fond memories of Jollibee. What lingers most were the instances in his childhood when he would ask his Mom for a treat at Jollibee and the response he got was they would dine at Jollibee the next time around. The Voice Philippines Coach sees the franchise not just as a business opportunity but as a way to create jobs for his fellow Kabalens.
Joseph Tanbuntiong was proud to welcome Apl into the Jollibee family as a franchise and partner because he does not only share in Jollibee’s commitment to reach more Filipino family and bring them together over great-tasting langhap-sarap food but also believes in helping other people through philantrophy works.
Apl did a 3-song performance with the participation of his crew a to the delight of the guests. He also did the traditional Champ burger cutting. Aside from the special appearance from Jollibee, guests were also treated to their langhap-sarap favorites to cap off the event.
