3 movies starring Gov. Vilma Santos Recto were show last February 5, 2015 at the UP Film Institute Film Center. The 3 movies were restored version done by the ABS-CBN Film Restoration team. This was a special tribute to Vilma Santos Recto that showcased her acting prowess in the 3 movies: Anak, Kapag Langit Ang Humatol and Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa.
This was in cooperation with the UP College of Mass Communication, ABS-CBN Film Restoration, UP Center For Women’s Studies, The National Commission for Culture and the Arts and Philippine Commission on Women.
The schedule of the film showing was as follows:
Anak 2:30 pm
Kapag Langit Ang Humatol 5:00 pm
Bata Bata Paano Ka Ginawa 7:30 pm
Vilmanians, UP Students, and members of the press were there to see the star of all season and watch the movie Bata Bata. A media interview, a short program, and then the movie screening started.
After seeing the movie for the first time, I was really amazed how great the movie was. Comedy, tear jerking drama, social relevance and it’s timelessness. It was a movie done decades ago but still feel very current. Highly recommended to be watched.
After the movie, fans took the opportunity to get authographs, photos, selfies and get close to their idol.
