The series, from Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on September 29
Prime Video has just unveiled the official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated Amazon Original series, Gen V. The exciting series will be exclusively available on Prime Video in over 240 countries and territories worldwide. It is set to premiere with three episodes on Friday, September 29, followed by weekly releases leading up to the grand season finale on Friday, November 3. Gen V promises to be a thrilling addition to the array of benefits, convenience, and entertainment that Prime members enjoy with their membership.
The teaser offers a sneak peek into the lives of young-adult superheroes at Godolkin University, the only college in America exclusively designed for aspiring heroes and run by Vought International. Derived from the world of The Boys, Gen V delves into the training of the first generation of superheroes who discover that their powers were artificially given through Compound V, rather than being innate. These ambitious and competitive young heroes push their physical and ethical boundaries while vying for the prestigious top ranking at the university. However, as they venture further, they realize that ambition demands sacrifices, and the line between right and wrong becomes increasingly blurred. As the dark secrets of the university surface, the students must confront the kind of heroes they aspire to become.
The series boasts a talented cast, including Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Gen V also features guest stars Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter, along with appearances from Jessie T. Usher, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne, reprising their roles from The Boys.
Behind the scenes, Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners and executive producers, while a stellar lineup of industry experts fills the executive producer roles, including Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Nelson Cragg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe, and Michaela Starr. Additionally, the series features co-executive producers Brant Englestein, Sarah Carbiener, Lisa Kussner, Gabriel Garcia, Aisha Porter-Christie, Judalina Neira, and Loreli Alanís.
