Actress and social media sensation, Ivana Alawi, has officially reaffirmed her commitment to being a Kapamilya as she recently signed an exclusive network contract with ABS-CBN on July 19th.
Expressing her happiness and gratitude, Ivana said, “I feel so happy and I feel so blessed. I am here where I’m supposed to be. I have three things that I’m very, very thankful for. Of course, first and foremost, to the bosses here at ABS-CBN, thank you so much for your trust, support, and love for me. And of course, to my manager, Kuya Perry, Star Magic, Sir Lauren, thank you very much.”
Cory Vidanes, the ABS-CBN COO of broadcast, also conveyed her appreciation to Ivana for staying with the network. She said, “Thank you very much, Ivana, for continuously placing your trust and value in ABS-CBN, in all of us, and in our Kapamilya. I assure you that we will continue to take care of you and we will build an even stronger relationship as I promised you. Thank you for your sincerity, love, and choosing to stay with us in bringing joy, inspiration, hope, and service to all Filipinos around the world.”
The contract signing event was attended by ABS-CBN chairman Mark Lopez, ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, ABS-CBN head of TV Production and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi, Star Magic’s Alan Real, and talent manager Perry Lansigan. The occasion was made even more special with a performance of “Akin Ka Na Lang,” the theme song of “A Family Affair,” by ‘The Voice’ Jed Madela, while Robi Domingo hosted the event.
As for Ivana’s upcoming projects this year, she revealed that she is busy attending workshops and hitting the gym to prepare. “We’re doing teleseryes this year and there are also movies. So, there are a lot of exciting projects coming,” she shared.
Looking ahead, Ivana expressed her hope to work with prominent stars such as Coco Martin, Joshua Garcia, and KathNiel in the coming years.
It’s worth noting that Ivana initially signed her first exclusive contract with ABS-CBN three years ago after being part of “Mea Culpa: Sino Ang May Sala” and “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.” Her impressive journey continued with her first lead role as Cherry Red in the revenge drama series “A Family Affair” alongside Gerald Anderson, Jake Ejercito, Jameson Blake, and Sam Milby last year. She also starred with Vice Ganda in the blockbuster movie “Partners In Crime.”
