The latest season of “The Voice Kids” premiered over the weekend and proved to be a hit with audiences, garnering over 301,734 peak concurrent views and topping Twitter’s trending topics for two consecutive nights (February 25 and 26).
One of the show’s highlights was veteran singer Roselle Nava’s surprise appearance, performing her iconic song “Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita” with her son Rafa Tan, who also sang the same song during his audition. Rafa, along with two other talented youngsters, Patricia Delos Santos and Fabio Santos, made up Martin’s “MarTeam.”
KZ Tandingan also started building her “Team Supreme” with the addition of Summer Pulido, Renzo Niez, and Aera Castro. Meanwhile, John Matthew Bendoy, Tin-Tin Marty, and Chloe Cañega joined Bamboo’s “Kamp Kawayan.”
Tin-Tin and Patricia wowed the judges with their own renditions of “Isa Pang Araw” and “Isang Linggong Pag-ibig,” respectively, earning three-chair turns during their blind auditions.
Audiences raved about the show and its coaches, particularly Martin and KZ, and expressed excitement for the upcoming episodes. “The Voice Kids” can be watched every weekend on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, and iWantTFC at 7 pm, and on TV5 (Sat at 7 pm, Sun at 9 pm).
