Highly Anticipated New Season of Lucasfilm’s Fan-Favorite Series Premieres March 1, Exclusively on Disney+
Disney+ has just revealed the highly-anticipated trailer for the upcoming Season 3 of “Star Wars: The Mandalorian” during halftime of the NFL Super Wild Card matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Along with the trailer, the streaming service also released new key art for the third season of the critically acclaimed, original, live-action series from Lucasfilm, which will be available exclusively on Disney+ starting March 1.
The story of The Mandalorian continues as he and Grogu set out on new adventures in the Star Wars galaxy. The New Republic is working to lead the galaxy away from its dark past, while Din Djarin, once a lone bounty hunter, will encounter old allies and new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
The series features a talented cast including Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The episodes of the eight-episode Season 3 will be directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Jon Favreau serves as the showrunner/head writer and executive producer, alongside Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are also co-executive producers.
