The Araneta Group, through its social responsibility arm, the J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), made the holiday season brighter for its partner communities through various programs designed to bring joy and cheer. Children from JAAF’s chosen beneficiaries – Bahay Kalinga, Gawad Kalinga – Munting Pamayanan, Laura Vicuna Foundation, Father’s House, and Saint Martin de Porres Center – were treated to a fun-filled day at Araneta City, including a visit to the Mini Fiesta Carnival theme park and a viewing of the Christmas On Display show. The beneficiaries also enjoyed dinner at Pizza Hut and received copies of the SiningSaya activity book from Gateway Gallery.
In addition to these activities, JAAF followed its yearly tradition of spreading holiday cheer to the agency personnel of Araneta City, including security, maintenance, parking attendants, ticket sellers, and other personnel from manpower agencies in the city, by providing gifts during the holiday season.
On December 27, JAAF also visited its partner community, Gawad Kalinga – Julio Iglesias Araneta City Tanay (GK-JIACT), and distributed Bucket of Blessings to households affected by Typhoon Paeng. Families in this community received Christmas gifts from JAAF, Araneta City, Novotel Manila Araneta City, the Pizza Hut Group, Property Development Corp, Uniprom Inc, and TicketNet.
According to Diane Romero, Executive Director of JAAF, “It has been a good year for the Araneta Group, and the outreach activities were our way of saying ‘thank you’, ‘we are here’, and ‘you matter’ to the communities we have extended help to, who have been instrumental in the success of our group of companies.”
