Kim Seokjin, also known as Jin, a record-breaking K-pop group BTS member, will join the military today. The media have publicly revealed the date of the idol’s military training enlistment.
According to reports in the media, Jin will finish his enlistment in 18 months and then be the first member of BTS to enroll in the mandatory South Korean military training.
According to a number of Korean media outlets, Kim Seokjin will enlist in the military on December 13, 2022, which is happening today, in Yeoncheon Country, Gyeonggi Province.
The idol requests that fans refrain from going to his military camp to protect their safety. The celebrity took to Weverse after the news of his military enlistment broke, pleading with fans not to come to see him at the military camp because he fears it will be overflowing with people.
The Idol wrote: “While an article I didn’t want [regarding my enlistment] has been published, ARMY, you can’t come to the recruit training center. As there’ll be many people other than myself, it will be crowded and can become dangerous ARMY, I love you.”
Korean media has reported and affirmed that Bangtan Boys would like to go to see BTS Jin off if possible while he is on his enlistment.
The record company behind BTS, BigHit Music, has decided not to make any further comments regarding Jin’s enlistment information. According to their spokesman, they told Ilgan Sports News: “It is difficult to confirm. We ask for your understanding.”
