Globe takes a chance to salute and praise Filipino workers on Labor day as to acknowledge their hard work to keep their business afloat and maintain jobs even in this hard time of pandemic.
Filipino workers have always prove that they can do it and adapt the new ways of working so that they can still continue to live and provide for their families. That’s why, Globe stays focused on providing initiatives, many of which are digital, to ensure that its customers, community partners and its own employees are able to live their best live even with the pandemic.
Globe has been supporting different community programs that espouse digital skills learning and advocating the use of digital tools and connectivity.
Just like Elphie Lazaro, a Ground Operations Manager of a Beauty Salon, who find ways to cope under this unique situation.
According to Lazaro he is grateful for the advent technology that has allowed the business to transition mostly an e-commerce model since the pandemic started.
“Kung walang technology, wala din kaming business, wala din kaming work, Sa kabila ng limitasyon ng pandemya, nagagawa naming mag-operate. Nakakapag-serve kami sa aming mga clients online and at the same time, nakakatulong din kami para maiangat ang ekonomiya,” She added
With a customer-first mindset, Globe equally gives importance to its employees, making sure they are protected and equipped to face challenges on the job. Another example is Alex Samson, the Network Infrastructure, Maintenance, and Fortification Head of Globe.
Samson is responsible for making sure Globe’s infrastructure is seamlessly running. He oversees maintenance of equipment, assessing vulnerabilities so his team can proactively address the issue. Hi team also handles the restoration and normalization of the network due to unforeseen events such as disasters or accidents
Lazaro is just one of many Filipino Workers who are still trying to cope up with this kind of situation and that’s why we must salute and acknowledge every one of them.
