Wazzup, KDrama lovers, good news to all of us! There’s a new romantic drama that’s ready to make us feel kilig and I know we’re all excited for it! Fall in love with Lee Do Hyun once again and with Go Min Si with their newest Korean drama ‘Youth of May.’ This series is scheduled to premiere on KBS2 on May 3, and will air on every Monday and Tuesday at 21:30.
This 12-episode series was based on true event. Set in 1980s, Youth of May was inspired by a historically significant event that transpired in Korea during that time, remembered as the Gwangju Uprising. And with that, it stands as one the reasons why we should watch this series!
Aside from that, we could also see a lot of lovable rising stars. First on our list, of course the one and only – Lee Do Hyun as Hwang Hee Tae, a mischievous yet determined medical student, who strives to discredit all the stereotypes held against him. Paired with him is Go Min Si as Kim Myung Hee, a third-year nurse student, she’s a valiant fight who can weather through any obstacles thrown her way.
This isn’t the first time Do Hyun and Min Si worked together. They played sibling in Netflix’ Horror Drama, “Sweet Home” a series based on a Webtoon novel with the same title.
Alongside with Do Hyun and Min Si, we could also see Lee Sang Yi as Lee So Chan, he will start working for the family business after fishing his studies in France; and Guem Sae Rok as Lee Soo Ryun, an easygoing law student and Myung Hee’s bestfriend.
Youth of May is set to air on KBS2 this May 3, there are still no news if the drama will be available on streaming platforms like Netflix or Viu. So, for more updates follow @kbsworldtv on Instagram and @KBSWorldTV on Twitter.
