Veteran singer Claire dela Fuente passed away this Tuesday morning at the age of 63 due to cardiac arrest. Her death was confirmed by her family to ABS-CBN News’ MJ Felipe.
According to her son, Gregorio ‘Gigo’ De Guzman, Dela Fuente was diagnosed with CoViD-19 last week along with him being asymptomatic. Her cardiac arrest was said to be caused by stress and anxiety. Gigo also mentioned she had hypertension and diabetes.
Claire dela Fuente has been dubbed as “The Karen Carpenter of the Philippines” and “Asia’s Sweetest Voice,” and was popularly known to her hit songs, “Sayang,” “Minsan Minsan,” and “Merry Christmas Darling”
