MECQ in NCR August 4-18 2020!

3 August 2020, Manila, PHILIPPINESIn line with the government’s announcement of Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) in NCR, the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) will be temporarily suspending LRT-1 operations effective AUGUST 4, 2020 until AUGUST 18, 2020 or as advised by the government.

LRMC is ready to continue enforcing strict health and safety measures upon the resumption of mass public transport services by the government.

To better prepare for this transition and allow our Operations personnel to travel home safely, commercial operations for LRT-1 will be adjusted for AUGUST 3, 2020 (MONDAY). The last trip leaving Baclaran Station is at 9:30 PM, while the last train leaving Roosevelt Station is at 9:45 PM.

We would like to request for everyone’s understanding at this time.

LRMC is a joint venture company of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation’s Metro Pacific Light Rail Corporation (MPLRC), Ayala Corporation’s AC Infrastructure Holdings Corporation (AC Infra), Sumitomo Corporation, and the Philippine Investment Alliance for Infrastructure’s Macquarie Investments Holdings (Philippines) PTE Ltd. (MIHPL). It assumed operations and maintenance of LRT-1 in September 2015 through a PHP 65-billion 32-year concession agreement with the Department of Transportation and the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA). LRT-1 is Metro Manila’s ISO-certified train system.
