The J. Amado Araneta Foundation (JAAF), the social responsibility arm of the Araneta Group, has been providing support to various COVID-19 related efforts on a nationwide scale. As of April 17, the breakdown of undertaking includes:
- Php665,280 has been appropriated for COVD-19 testing kits
- Php274,500 worth of medical supplies have been donated to LGUS
- More than 8,000 meals have been made for front liners
- 1,150 food packs have been distributed
- Php141,050 have been raised for the #TogetherWeHeal donation drive
- 650 #TogetherWeHeal food packs have been procured, with additional funds from the Foundation
- 1,000 seed packets received from Department of Agriculture for the #TogetherWeHeal food packs
#TogetherWeHeal, the campaign for COVID-19 relief efforts, was launched last March 31. The major undertaking is a donation drive which aims to help indigent Filipino families in Metro Manila with difficult access to basic food needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is in in partnership with Araneta City, TicketNet, and Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc.
JAAF, the Executive Director Diane Romero said, “This past month, we were caught by surprise as the rest of the world was, but we were able to adapt and realign our priorities and initiatives, in response to the needs of times. With our available resources, we remain steadfast in supporting communities in the best way we can.”
