There is simply no denying, we are obsessed with K-beauty.
From simply wanting a glowing bright skin, most women now have become obsessed with the so-called “glass skin.” With the wave of this new skin trend, Filipinas have sorted out different products and treatments just to achieve that porcelain skin finish.
Known for their perfect skin, Koreans have made many other nationalities envy their ageless beauty. This is basically why the business of Korean skincare products has now been a compelling billion-dollar industry and is now globally recognized as among the best in the beauty and cosmetics world.
The typical Korean skincare routine usually involves an 8-step [if not a 10-step] process which unfortunately would be too taxing for a typical Filipino.
So no worries, all the Korean skincare essentials we need have been narrowed into 4 but complete steps. Also included are the products I’ve tried so far that did wonders for my skin.
- Cleanse.
Cleansing is the cornerstone of any skincare routine. Beyond just simply lathering soap, our cleansers should be powerful enough to remove all traces of make-up, pollutants and left-off debris on the face. Failure to remove all your dirty left-overs leads to clogged pores that eventually causes ugly break-outs. We don’t want that, do we?
My requirement: For me, my cleanser alone should be potent enough to rid my skin off all the tortures of the day yet mild enough not to dry out my skin. Most importantly, cleansing alone should already infuse moisture on my face that would jumpstart my skin’s A-game.

2. Toning
Don’t dare miss this step!

Naturally toners do the job of closing pores (left off open pores or naturally large pores allow more dirt and toxins to enter the skin) which in turn leads to breakouts. Toners also perform the function of balancing skin’s pH level or the measure of skin’s acidity. Having a balanced pH level makes skin less prone to oiliness and infection thereby creating a more vibrant, smoother and evened out finish.

I swear by this! This amazing all-botanical toner just performs miracles. I first apply this after the toner. 4. Sun Protect

Unfortunately, 80% of the sun’s rays penetrate through the clouds and so applying sunscreen should be a must.
Think about this, ever wondered why skin on the buttocks and tummy area don’t wrinkle at all even if we do nothing about it while the face gets all the love and care yet still displays early problematic lines? Simple, because it’s the part of our skin exposed to the sun and sun exposure is the main cause of skin aging and damage. So do your skin a favor and wear SPF everyday.
P.S. Everything yo do to your face will be put to waste if you will not shield your skin from the sun.
