There are two reasons to visit the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) from March 30 to April 2:
1. Ford Philippines is showcasing the top-selling variants of its “Big Three” vehicle nameplates .
2. Rolling out of the Ford Island Conquest.
MIAS is the biggest and most anticipated auto event of 2017 and Ford Philippines decided to take advantage of the occasion to showcase its best selling vehicles. The Everest mid-size SUV, EcoSport compact SUV, and segment defining Ranger pickup.
The Ford Everest is a mid-size Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV); larger than cars and compact SUVs. Their bigger size provides passengers more cargo space and more space to sit comfortably. The back end can be used by lowering the back seat. Larger vehicles are safer than smaller ones since they are harder to crush due to size and weight. Also, a midsize SUV is easier to drive than a large SUV and more fuel efficient.
Ford also featured the EcoSport compact SUV. It has the comfort of a sedan and the ride quality and height of an SUV. It is also easier to maneuver and park as well. You can have the best of both worlds.
The Ranger, on the other hand, will be extremely useful to transport just about anything. Pickups are much safer than cars too since the body of trucks are made with strong materials. Another thing is the height. It allows you to have a very advantageous view of the road and of other drivers.
“We’re excited to have the Ford Island Conquest at MIAS and present something unique to the show that engages consumers by simulating an actual Ford drive experience,” said Lance Mosley, managing director, Ford Philippines. “Our first two Ford Island Conquest events were a real success and we want to share this opportunity and experience with more Filipinos across the country.”
The Ford Island Conquest was launched earlier in Manila this year and is brought to MIAS. It is ultimate arena for test driving, both for the interested buyers and car enthusiasts. The good news is, the test drive activity will be rolled out in other parts of the Philippines specifically in Bulacan, Pampanga, Naga, Laguna, Pangasinan, Iloilo, Bacolod, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao. They have the chance to experience the EcoSport, Ranger, and Everest. There is an outdoor course which features a water-wading drive thru for highlighting the capabilities and features of the Ranger and Everest.
A mock-up showroom can also be seen. It will be a good opportunity for interested buyers and owners to be informed about sales, after sales services and ownership packages offered by Ford.
Freebies and exclusive Ford merchandise are offered for registrants and participants of the various activities. Ford also offers deals exclusive for the four-day show which provides consumers different ways to own a new Ford.
