TFC@theMovies brings the number one movie in the Philippines, The Breakup Playlist, which stars Piolo Pascual, Sarah Geronimo to theaters worldwide starting July 9, 2015.
It is not everyday that the likes of Philippine Box Office King & Queen Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo, also both very accomplished singing stars, team up to star in one movie. But put Dan Villegas at the helm – the cinematographer of huge rom-com hits like, “Bride for Rent”, “She’s The One”, “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?” and winner of Best Director at the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival for “English Only, Please”, and tap his real-life girlfriend, white-hot Antoinette Jadaone for the screenplay – the writer-director of box-office winners “That Thing Called Tadhana” and “You’re My Boss” and winner of Best Original Story and Best Screenplay at the 2014 Metro Manila Film festival for “English Only, Please”, and you really have a megamovie at hand loaded with expectations for excellence.
The Breakup Playlist, meets high expectations and delivers on its promise of fresh takes on a romantic comedy, on-point acting, and genuine chemistry between the lead stars. It earned 15M, beating even big Hollywood films, on its opening day and earned great reviews from movie critics.
