“As our nation prepares to commemorate the day when our forefathers claimed independence for our nation, Sun Life is taking the lead in the Filipinos’ quest for a different kind of freedom – that of the financial kind,” said Sun Life President and CEO Riza Mantaring. “In these modern times, money problems keep us from fulfilling our goals and becoming the best that we can be. We’d like to change that so we can be a nation of financially independent people.”
Sun Life Philippines goal is more financial literacy initiatives for Filipinos. To help Filipinos achieve this, Sun Life has prepared a fresh lineup of fun and educational activities under Brighter Life, its multimedia financial literacy campaign. Dubbed FIT initiatives, Filipinos are encouraged to get fit by taking an online Financial Intelligence Test (F.I.T.), be fit by attending a more comprehensive Financial Independence Training (F.I.T.) session, and stay fit by being connected to Brighter Life 24/7 via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (F.I.T.). Sun Life policyholders are also about to get more fit with the Financial Independent Tomorrow (F.I.T.) Review to help you in the journey towards financial freedom.
Breaking the cycle starts with the family, and to help Sun Life deliver that message to a broader audience, social media phenomenon Team Kramer – composed of cager-celebrity couple Doug Kramer and Cheska Garcia-Kramer together with kids Kendra, Scarlet, and Gavin – joins the Brighter Life as its newest advocates.

They will be tackling money issues that young families often encounter, adding the signature humour and affection that won the hearts of thousands of followers. It would also show yet another side of Team Kramer, one that not only captures the present in their posts but also how they are preparing for the future today.
Saving is very crucial problem for me and by attending this event, it makes me more serious in saving and investing. Sun Life’s advocacy campaign can help Filipinos like me who’s main problem is saving, and as the old people say “Your not getting any younger, so better save now for your future.” Being able to understand how Sun Life handles their clients makes me excited to save and invest with them. Wink!
