ABS-CBN continues its streak of excellence, securing 19 awards at the 7th Gawad Lasallianeta Awards, including the prestigious Hall of Fame Award for being named Most Outstanding Media Company for five consecutive years. The awarding ceremony was held on January 27 at De La Salle Araneta University (DLSAU).
Top Honors for ABS-CBN Personalities and Shows
Veteran broadcast journalist Rico Hizon was recognized with the Green Zeal for Excellence Award, the highest distinction given to outstanding Lasallian communicators.
Box-office queen Kathryn Bernardo took home multiple accolades, winning Most Influential Celebrity and Most Outstanding Film Actress for her remarkable work. Her blockbuster hit “Hello, Love, Again” was also named Most Outstanding Filipino Film.
The top-rating noontime show “It’s Showtime” continued its reign as Most Outstanding Variety Show, while its beloved host, Vice Ganda, received the award for Most Outstanding Variety Show Host.
Rising star Argus Aspiras was recognized as Most Outstanding Child Star for his portrayal of Riley Aguerro in “High Street”.
For his impressive performance as Andrei ‘Bingo’ Mariano in “Can’t Buy Me Love”, Donny Pangilinan was honored as Most Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series. Meanwhile, Jodi Sta. Maria was named Most Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her powerful role in the action-revenge drama “Lavender Fields”.
Comedienne Melai Cantiveros was also recognized for her Bisaya talk show “Kuan On One”, winning Most Outstanding Comedienne.
Music, News, and Digital Excellence Recognized
Chart-topping P-pop girl group BINI earned the title of Most Outstanding OPM Artist, while fellow pop sensation BGYO won the Lasallian’s Choice Award.
In the field of journalism, ABS-CBN News was honored as Most Outstanding Online News Media, and its flagship news program, “TV Patrol”, was named Most Outstanding News Show.
Veteran journalists Doris Bigornia and Alvin Elchico were recognized with the Most Outstanding Digital Radio Show and Broadcasters award, while Pia Gutierrez received the distinction of Most Outstanding Female News Correspondent.

The Gawad Lasallianeta Awards is DLSAU’s premier recognition program, honoring media and public communication professionals who have made significant contributions to the industry. Winners are determined through a university-wide survey among administrators, staff, faculty members, parents, and students.
