For The KoolPals team, opening their own venue has always been a dream in the making. “Since the beginning, we’ve envisioned having our own bar,” shares James Caraan, one of the group’s founding members. “The podcast has played such a pivotal role in promoting stand-up comedy, and now we have a dedicated venue to expand our reach and connect with even more people.”
A Venue Built on Vision and Community
The KoolPals Bar stands out not just as a comedy bar but as the culmination of a shared vision between The KoolPals and their loyal fans. The project became a reality thanks to JJ Tan, Managing Director of Century Park Hotel Manila, who partnered with The KoolPals to create this unique comedy haven.
“This bar is a testament to the unwavering support of our fans,” adds Caraan. “It’s a space to showcase our comedy and bring something truly special to Manila’s entertainment scene.”
A Comedy Playground
The KoolPals Bar offers a first-of-its-kind experience in the Philippines, blending a live podcast studio and a comedy bar in one location. Guests can enjoy live recordings of The KoolPals Podcast alongside performances by the country’s top stand-up comedians.
“This is a comedian’s playground,” says GB Labrador, another founding member. “It’s where great food, drinks, and laughter come together—a place to relax, laugh, and create unforgettable memories.”
A Collaboration with Century Park Hotel Manila
In partnership with Century Park Hotel Manila, The KoolPals Bar promises not only laughter but also a premium dining experience. With food and service meeting international standards, the venue ensures guests enjoy both top-tier comedy and culinary delights.
Expanding the Comedy Experience
The KoolPals Bar is setting the stage for diverse comedic offerings. Its Noontime Show, airing Sundays at 4 PM, features games and unfiltered humor, streamed live on Facebook and YouTube to reach fans worldwide.
Big Plans for 2025
As 2025 approaches, The KoolPals are gearing up for an exciting year. Their plans include:
- A nationwide tour with stops in Pampanga, Baguio, Cebu, and more, culminating in their first-ever comedy special.
- A partnership with Arcade Film Factory, led by award-winning director Marius Talampas, to create a comedy special that showcases Filipino humor on a world-class scale.
- Guest appearances by top TV comedians, a direct response to fan requests, ensuring the podcast remains fresh and engaging.

Reflecting on their journey, The KoolPals celebrate milestones such as winning Spotify’s Best Comedy Podcast in the Philippines, recording over 750 episodes, and transitioning from humble beginnings to running their own bar and studio.
