Acclaimed singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao is set to enchant Filipino audiences with his much-anticipated first solo concert, Liwayway at Dapithapon, happening on March 14 and 15, 2025, at the iconic Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila.
This two-day musical event celebrates a major milestone in Danao’s remarkable 25-year career, showcasing his timeless music that resonates across generations. It follows the success of his sold-out café tour, which brought him to intimate venues across the country, solidifying his reputation as one of the Philippines’ most cherished folk artists.
Produced by Johnoy Danao in collaboration with minsan studio, Liwayway at Dapithapon promises an unforgettable evening. The concert will revisit Danao’s beloved classics while introducing fresh renditions and new tracks, reflecting his evolution as an artist.

A highlight of Johnoy Danao’s much-anticipated concert will be a special set featuring a 15-piece orchestra, with arrangements by the renowned Ria Villena-Osorio. “We want to offer the audience something different,” shares Jason Conanan, head of minsan studio. “Johnoy, who is typically known for his solo performances, will be supported by a full band and an orchestra. Some of his songs will be reimagined in a lush, orchestral arrangement, adding depth and richness to the experience. The minsan team is also deeply involved in the show’s creative direction, making this a collaborative effort we’re truly excited about.”
