The highly anticipated sixth edition of Acer’s Asia Pacific (APAC) Predator League officially commenced today, solidifying its reputation as a premier regional esports tournament since its launch in 2018. Hosted for the first time in Malaysia, the event’s opening ceremony was graced by Malaysia’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh, marking a significant milestone for the league.

This year’s tournament introduces a fresh dynamic with two new champions, Nero and Yuffy, avatars born from a regional design competition. These characters symbolize Predator’s core values of gaming mastery and tactical precision while bringing a compelling narrative to the event. Their storyline, which explores themes of friendship, rivalry, and personal growth, embodies the league’s spirit as a platform for high-stakes competition and character-building moments.

Adding to the cultural richness, the league debuted its new theme song, “It Lies Within”, performed in local languages by renowned regional artists. Visitors will experience a vibrant mix of esports, entertainment, and community activities, with appearances by international and local stars,” he said.

The headline performers include K-pop icons Sandara Park (Dara) and Minzy of 2NE1, alongside Malaysian stars Aina Abdul and Hael Husaini, and Filipino girl group G22. Other highlights include a Coswalk competition and immersive on-site activities, ensuring the Predator League 2025 offers something for everyone.

The tournament focuses on Dota 2 and VALORANT, showcasing the skills and strategies of amateur and professional players in elimination rounds.
