During its recent year-end thanksgiving event, DITO’s Chief Executive Officer, Eric Alberto, proudly announced that DITO has been recognized as the Philippines’ Fastest Mobile Network by independent mobile analytics firm Opensignal. The company led the race in 14 categories, outpacing the country’s two telecom giants in speed.
“I’m thrilled to share that Opensignal has named DITO the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines, excelling in the speed race. These achievements are not just awards—they are a testament to DITO’s commitment and the strength and reliability of our network,” said Alberto.
According to Opensignal’s October 2024 Mobile Network Experience report, DITO earned accolades across multiple categories, solidifying its position as the country’s leader in 5G speeds and overall mobile experience. DITO topped all four speed awards for both overall and 5G speeds, achieving a remarkable 287.2 Mbps in 5G download speed—almost double that of Smart at 147.5 Mbps and well above Globe’s 95.2 Mbps. DITO also led in overall download speeds, clocking in at 34.6 Mbps, surpassing Smart (28.6 Mbps) and Globe (20.9 Mbps).
2024 has been a breakthrough year for DITO. Alberto also highlighted the company’s key milestones, including its successful fifth and final technical audit with 86.3% coverage, reaching 14 million subscribers, and consecutive wins as the #1 Rated Mobile Network in the country (Q3-Q4 2023 and Q1-Q2 2024). With its new recognition as the Fastest Mobile Network, DITO has firmly established itself as a strong force in the Philippine telecom industry.
