True to tradition, ABS-CBN has ushered in the Christmas season with its touching Christmas ID titled “Our Stories Shine this Christmas.” This year’s theme celebrates the inspiring stories of everyday heroes who bring light and hope to their communities.
The video highlights the heartfelt journeys of individuals such as JV Ambrosio, a family breadwinner, single mother Elaine, and baby Zoe, a cancer patient, along with alopecia warrior April Doria and typhoon survivors. Their stories of resilience and positivity amid life’s challenges reflect the enduring power of hope.
The Christmas ID also shines a spotlight on selflessness and community spirit, featuring stories like that of Hernando “Mang Nanie” Guanlao and his community library, Tatay Carlos Orit and his rescue dogs, as well as the sacrifices of the Philippine Navy in their quest for heroism.
“Our Stories Shine this Christmas” was performed by an ensemble of ASAP icons, including Angeline Quinto, Erik Santos, Gary Valenciano, Martin Nievera, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Sarah Geronimo, Yeng Constantino, Zsa Zsa Padilla, and the It’s Showtime family, with hosts Anne Curtis, Kim Chiu, Darren Espanto, Ogie Alcasid, and Vice Ganda, alongside Bamboo, BINI, Coco Martin, and Piolo Pascual.
The song was written by Robert Labayen, head of ABS-CBN’s Creative Communications Management, along with Des Parawan, LA Sibug, Love Rose de Leon, and Rev Martin, while Jonathan Manalo composed the music, and Tommy Katigbak and Theo Martel handled the arrangement.
Additionally, the 2024 ABS-CBN Christmas shirts are now available for pre-order at P360. A portion of the proceeds will support the ABS-CBN Foundation’s “Tulong-Tulong Kapamilya” fundraising campaign, which helps typhoon victims. Those wishing to purchase these festive shirts and support a worthy cause can pre-order from Shirts and Prints PH via Facebook, Lazada, and Shopee.
