Fifty-four years ago, an iconic cultural institution emerged along Roxas Boulevard on reclaimed land. Over the past half-century, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) has taken a leading role in nurturing culture and the arts. It has collaborated with various stakeholders to promote a thriving local creative industry that reveres tradition, fosters innovation, raises social consciousness, and enriches the Philippines’ brand and economy.
Despite the ongoing much-needed rehabilitation of the CCP Main Building, the celebration of its 54th founding anniversary persists. World-class artists, who have played pivotal roles in the center’s storied history and artistic milestones, return to perform for the nation that has nurtured their talents.
To reaffirm its commitment to the growth and development of the Filipino nation through arts and culture, the CCP proudly presents “Anywhere We Sing Is Home: The CCP’s 54th Anniversary Gala.” This event is scheduled for September 9 at 8 p.m. and September 10 at 3 p.m., at the Samsung Performing Arts Center in Circuit Makati.
